Ask a Question

My goal for this site is to help my fellow nerds achieve financial success. I think the easiest and most direct way to do this will be to answer your questions. Please feel free to email me with questions about online marketing, site development, consulting business or whatever you want. I will try to answer all of them and will make blog entries out of the interesting ones.

What age did you start doing this?

rmk says:

I started making some money off of web design when I was about 14. I don’t think it was long after that I started promoting affiliate programs, etc.

efex says:

how did you get started.

and what’r ways I could get started.

efex says:

rmk you post things saying that you hope to make $275 p/d on a site..but it’d be great if you could mention how you’d asses this

rmk says:

efex,

$275 per day on the site I mentioned is just a personal goal I pulled out of thin air. I try to set goals based on what I think is reasonably possible, but not set them so low they don’t challenge me.

I’m looking into getting started making a little bit of money off the web as well. What do you know about the buying/selling of domains market right now? Do you know any specific people I should contact regarding this market?

I also have a buddy of mine who is trying to get me to push some xxx objects of his (advertising, etc) at about 10% of the sales I get. How big is this market that you know of, and is it worth my time?

Any other ideas you got shoot them my way.. I’m pretty much open for whatever at the moment.

Well, I’m starting a Search Engine Optimization site, http://vanguardseo.com, and it’s for the most part done. However, I’m having trouble finding people who might be interested in it. I don’t know how to go about finding potential customers other than PPC and what not, and being broke.. that doesn’t work out well haha. Any pointers on finding customers other than say handing out business cards and the like?

enerbrat says:

Rather do you have any pointers for finding customers offline.

Hi, I’ve been looking into making $100 - $200 a week off the internet to supplement my current income and was wondering if you could throw me some pointers and help me make a bit extra cash!

There closest thing to a secret recipe is this:

1. Come up with an Idea
2. Build a Site
3. Get traffic
4. Monetize Traffic

Making $100/week isn’t any easier than making $1000/week in my opinion, both take some creativity.
